The archive concerns the order of chivalry of the House of Savoia that originates from the fusion (1572) of the Order of chivalry and religion of Saint Maurice with the Order for the assistance to the lepers of Saint Lazarus. The Order with the banner of the double cross was born in 1573 for military and religious purposes, but it also became important for charitable and charitable purposes. The archive collects material relating to the history of the Mauritian Order from 1605 ca. to the end of the 1800s, and is divided into a series of documents chronologically ordered: letters, exhibits, "budget notebooks", and various minutes.
