Versione italiana       English version       Version française       Versión en español

Felice Casorati, Lorenzo Delleani, Antonio Fontanesi, Umberto Mastroianni, Enrico Paulucci... Even Picasso and Carlo Carrà. These are some of the names, between the most famous, that appear in the graphic Arts section of the Library of Palazzo Cisterna.

There are 375 drawings, lithographies, etchings and other works mostly realized with graphic techniques by importan Piedmont and Turin artists, in particular with a section between '800s and '900s and a section belonging to the second post war period.

A small but precious gallery that counts an antology of prestigious signatures nex to less know names but still important for the Piedmont art, like Cino Bozzetti (1876-1949, born in Lecce but he lived in Borgoratto), Piero Bolla (Saluzzo, 1933), Pier Antonio Gariazzo (Turin, 1879-1964) and Franco Garelli (1909-1936, with a serie of lithographies about his staying in Japan).

From a Carol Rama's etching to four lithographies by Felice Casorati (and some etchings of his son Francesco), from a figure drawn in red pen by Enrico Colombotto Rosso, from two etchings by Delleani and Fontanesi, to three engravings by the sculptor Umberto Mastroianni. In the gathering also appear three representants of the "Six" of Turin, Paulucci, Menzio and Galante, with etchings and woodcuts. Also important is a test specimen of photo woodcut by Luigi Spazzapan.

In the end, two great extraterritorial artists, Carlo Carrà with an etching and the painter and poet Ardengo Soffici, with two figures engraved. And also two famous international names: an etching by Marc Chagall and a photo woodcut by Pablo Picasso, showing the face of a woman.
